Salt Creek
Growing up, we used to walk the shore line in Oceanside. Wading through the ocean with our feet in the water, we would scour the sand and lapping waves for seashells and sea glass with our mom and dad while Josh and his friends would be out in the water.
In the early mornings, when the beach was empty, the tide would fade out at the jetty. The shallow water that pooled in the low tide was warm on our feet as we searched for the sand dollars that littered the sand.
In the distant waters, the waves curled and arched in the morning surf. Salt Creek is a reminder to us of these early mornings when we watched the ocean do its majestic morning dance.
